About the Scheme
Launched on August 1, 2017, the Majhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme is spearheaded by the Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra. It encourages families to opt for sterilization after having one or two daughters by offering financial incentives:

Families are allowed to withdraw the accumulated interest every six years.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Maharashtra Majhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme, applicants must:
Be permanent residents of Maharashtra.
Have girl children born after August 1, 2017.
Annual income not exceeding Rs. 7.5 lakhs.
Provide a Family Planning Certificate.
Application Process
Eligible individuals can apply through an offline application process at their nearest Anganwadi Center. The steps include:
1. Obtain the application form from an Anganwadi worker.
2. Complete the form with all required information.
3. Attach the necessary documents.
4. Submit the form at the Anganwadi Center.
5. After submit the application will be verified by the concerned officer.
6. After approval, the funds will be transferred to the applicant's bank account.
